Near the Kervallian Ocean, high above the white cliffs of Donil the House of Teshwan is seated. It is one of the ould and honored clans that recently had lost most of its strength due to a lack of male heirs.
Eilean Donil - Stronghold of Clan Teshwan
Once
Clan Teshwan had ruled over all other clans that dwelled on their lands, including
the lands of Lochlann and Galadan, which were the biggest counties on the
teshwanian 'continent'. The leaders of the other clans served the Earl of
Teshwan as so-called viscounts and were standing directly under his command.
This form of government accrued from the years right after the unrests a thousand
years ago, when Ardais, a former knight of Clan Caehan of Donil, another victim
of the unrests, managed to unite all the clans of Teshwan under his lead and
established a new bloodline - the Lords of Teshwan.
But when the Bloodwars between the clans started, the current leader of the clan, Usher of Teshwan, had lost control over most of the smaller clans of Teshwan, and finally he had to give up his command when his army lost an important battle due to a treason of one of his allies. Broken and defeated, Usher retreated to his stronghold, Eilean Donil, and thought of a way to somehow reunite the clans of Teshwan.
This had been the hour of birth for a council, which was lead by all leaders of teshwanian clans, with the lords of Teshwan, Galadan and Lochlann as heads of the council. The viscounts of Galadan and Lochlann were given the titles of earls, while the lords of the smaller clans kept their titles as viscounts.
Ardais had been a loyal follower of the Church of Cadaris, and this loyalty continued through the generations, so the Teshwans are known as 'Defenders of Spirituality' - a clan of warriors who at any time fought for the grace of their god and the freedom of their church. Since the end of the Bloodwars, Clan Teshwan has lost its former glory more and more, but Lord Uriens still keeps up the old oath his ancestor had sworn to the Cadaris.
In his misfortune, Lord Uriens, the current leader of the clan, spent great
effort to arrange an advantageous union with any of the great clans and didn't
care lots for his three daughters.
He finally came to an arrangement with his old friend, Lord Hengist Cadraque,
to strengthen the bonds between their clans by marrying his eldest daughter
Cassilda to the heir of Clan Cadraque, Heron Cadraque.
After rumors stated his second daughter, Aina Rohana Mairi of Teshwan, to
be a witch, the old Lord contacted the Jedi Council at Coruscant to educate
her in the ways of the Force.
