Kam Solusar grew up in the house of a King. William Solusar was a grand leader, his people loved him and the other colonies of Vilhon were always eager to do business with the lands of Rhavol.

As a noble child Kam was educated in the finer things in life. Fencing, food, wine, and everything he needed when he became King. Kam was a very happy child. The lands of Rhavol were flourishing; they were becoming industrialized, with aqueducts, bridges, and the ability to mass-produce goods. Kam was learning well from his father how to govern his people.

Kam had learned all that he could from his mother and their aids, so at the age of 17, Kam was shipped off to Corrilia. He was to attend the University of Manseny. A school for gifted young nobles.

Kam made a few friends his first year at Manseny, but none closer than Wallace McGreggor. The two noble young men were almost inseperatable after the first semester. Each was very bright and both were top in there fencing class. Soon the other students began to be jealous of their closeness. The two in fact started to call each other brother.

Then one day in their second year Kam heard the gravest news. The Fandur, a colony of the north, had slaughtered his family. The Fandur had found that the lands of Rhavol were sitting on mines of jewels and ores. The thought of riches darkened the thoughts of the Fandur leaders and they went to Rhavol and took the area by force. Everything that William Solusar had worked for, everything that the Rhavolians worked for was…gone…and taken by the enemy. Kam’s father was slain in a massive battle in his home.

Kam had nothing, but sorrow. His past was erased, before he could do anything about it. Kam turned inward. He barely spoke and when he did it was only to Wallace. The spent many nights together drinking and discussing the meaning of life. One night Wallace spoke of his home world, Othala. Wallace spoke of one day returning there and creating a brotherhood, an order of the oaken dawn. Kam thought his friend had lost his mind in his delusions of grandeur. Yes they were nobles, but at the time Kam had no need for brothers, he only thought of revenge.

Kam found that the only one who really understood what he was going through was his fencing instructor, Vance Jas. Jas had an interesting way at looking at the world. His thoughts pleased Kam. The messages in his teachings made Kam use his hatred, for it would make him powerful. Kam would think about the Fandur during his spars with other students. He often left them bloodied from the hits they took from his sword. Kam had become swifter and stronger through these thoughts. Through Jas’s teachings Kam became powerful.

Soon Wallace was the only student that would even take the time to spar with Kam. Wallace had taken many beatings trying to match his friend’s abilities. No one in the class that year contended with Kam, for they began to fear him. This only furthered Kam’s desire to learn more from Vance Jas. He soon began to call him Master Jas.

Wallace soon found that Kam was having secret after class lessons with Jas. Wallace was so intrigued that he joined them in these dark lessons. Wallace found himself caught up in Jas’ dark rhetoric. After a few lessons, Wallace had gained power beyond Kam’s belief. Their spars became legendary at the University. The could fight tirelessly for hours, striking and parrying, parrying and striking. They were unbelievable. Every time the two faced one another Master Jas sat in the back with an evil grin on his face. He had created two fierce men who were intelligent and now powerful enough to cause some major trouble for anyone who opposed them.

Then it happened. One late night out in some bar on Corrillia, some bar fly was heckling Wallace. All of them had too many drinks and Kam could do nothing to keep his friend from getting upset. Then for no reason what so ever, the crazy punk fell to the floor in great pain. Kam didn’t know what to do, and then he glanced over at Wallace who was staring at the boy with fire in his eyes. Kam knew that Wallace had somehow caused this death. Kam was at a crossroads. Someone was going down for this murder. Kam knew that Wallace still had a home, still had a future. Kam had nothing. Kam made a decision that would affect his life forever. He told Wallace to return to the school and that he would take the punishment. Kam made sure that everyone in the bar knew that Kam had killed the punk. Then Kam fled.

Kam was on the run for what felt like decades. He moved from planet to planet trying to find somewhere that would feel like home. Kam found nothing but trouble, if it wasn’t for Master Jas’ teachings he would probably be rotting in some prison. Kam had made his way out as far as Tatooine, when one night in a Mos Eisley cantina he had a revelation. Kam remembered the delusions of grandeur that Wallace had that drunken night on Corrillia. Kam remembered the Order of the Oaken Dawn. Kam knew that he must find his way to Othala and find his only remaining kin, his brother Wallace.
